In celebration for the Pro-life Month this year 2008, with the theme “Life for Future Generations”, Pro-Life Philippines Foundation held the “Planting Trees for Life” Event last February 16 at Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife, Quezon City.
This special activity was intended as part of the healing program for post-aborted women. They were invited to name the tree after an unborn baby aborted, miscarried or stillborn. Such an act is very healing to these women, after the loss of a baby. Also, dedicating the tree after a departed love one serves as a lasting legacy in their memory. Lastly, it was in line with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources preservation objectives.
