14th Congress: Ready for Pro-Life, Pro-Family Vigilance

The 14th Philippine Congress will convene on July 23, 2007 for the 3-year Legislative Session ending in June 2010. ALFI congratulates the winners of the May 14 elections so that we can work together for a pro-life, pro-family Congress.
ALFI will work to oppose any Bill that would mandate population control especially in the guise of women’s health; create rights that mask their real intent such as reproductive rights; promote widespread use of artificial contraceptives and encourage sterilization; impose or suggest an “ideal family size”; legalize divorce; encourage a climate that favors acceptance of homosexual unions; or cause the breakdown of marriage and the deterioration of family life.
As in previous Congresses, we will work closely with our allies to PROTECT FAMILY AND LIFE through legislation.
