Letter to PDI Editor Re: Support Health Sec. Duque's implementation of Milk Code

Dear Sir/Madam,
In response to the call of Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III for a stronger resolve against promoters of breast milk substitutes (Philippine Daily Inquirer, 23 June 2007), we take this occasion to affirm our support of breastfeeding, and commend him for his unwavering political will in the full implementation of the Milk Code.

Indeed, as research has already proven, we recognize that breastfeeding brings about healthier babies and promotes their emotional and psychological well-being. In addition, we at Pro-Life Philippines have taken special interest in this advocacy in line with our program on Natural Family Planning (NFP). In our training seminars, we also emphasize the supplementary role of total breastfeeding in natural family planning.
