International Day of the Unborn Child Celebrated

On the bright morning of March 25, 2006 the Sta. Rita de Cascia Parish in active initiation of the Christian Family and Life Apostolate (CFLA) and Christened, in coordination with the Knights of Columbus, parish religious organizations and the Couples for Christ successfully celebrated the International Day of the Unborn Child.

The celebration was kicked off with a 7:30 a.m. motorcade around the city zestfully done with 10 respective stations reading the importance of life as a gift of God and strongly declaring to the public that contraception is evil.
Then came a soul-nourishing film-viewing of abortion, followed by Holy Mass – thus showing the stark contradiction between a deadly procedure and a Life-giving celebration. The mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Filomeno Cabulosan, SSJV and Rev. Msgr. Eutiquiano Legitimas, PC, VG, SSJV. In his homily, Fr. Legitimas said, “Gingoognons are no longer innocents on abortion. In fact, during the seminar ‘The Truth and Meaning of Human Sexuality’ in the different schools, there were revelations of an act of abortion. It is now a compelling time for us to go against it if we haven’t done so yet. It’s a good initiation of the international pro-lifers of giving value to those unborn children. Let’s support this life giving program.”
The celebration was also participated in by parishioners from urban barangays and students from different schools who underwent seminars on human sexuality.
