The end of the future of Nations
|
|
THE culture of death that started out in the West many decades ago is now affecting us in the East. China with its one-child policy and India with its two-child law have seen the ever-increasing incidence of forced-abortion and infanticides. In the process, baby girls in the womb are the greater victims because of the preference of many for sons.
|
Many other countries of the region are also on the verge of introducing laws patterned
after that of China and India. For one, some of our misguided Congressmen and Senators are determined to push for the enactment of the Reproductive Health Care Act which has provision for a two-child policy that is now consolidated into the “Responsible Parenthood and Population Management Bill”. Budget of P2 billion pesos was approved by 19 congressmen during the Appropriations Committee Hearing last week, with Rep. Edcel Lagman as the Chairman of that committee. Our 11 pro-life congressmen tried to stop its approval but they were out-numbered.
Even very conservative Islamic countries of the Middle East and Near East I understand have not been spared the dire consequences of the Culture of death. So it is that Culture that is now the worldwide universal culture.
And yet, this culture of death started out very innocuously as a family planning and responsible parenting scheme which was packaged cosmetically as a program designed to enable couple to plan their families and become responsible parents to their children. Many innocents have fallen to the sly ways of Satan.
Family planning and responsible parenthood then turned out to mean that having one or two children only is the way to plan a family and to be responsible parents. If a couple has three or more children, they are deemed unplanned and, therefore, unwanted. And the best way for a couple to plan the number of their children is to use artificial contraceptive and sterilization (ligation or vasectomy). Artificial contraception is also promoted as rights of women to sex and to health and limiting children is a woman’s exercise of her reproductive rights.
As events turned out, however, this is not the end of the story. The use of contraceptives was not confined to married couples. The unmarried and the faithful turned out to be the more numerous users. These resulted to widespread teen-age promiscuity and marital infidelity. Society is now going to the dogs with rampant immoral acts. The sacredness of sex and marriage has been violated.
Let us remember that the great empires and civilizations of old destroyed not by stronger external enemies but by the destruction of the moral fiber of these societies. The Roman Empire collapsed not because of the attacks of the Germanic and Anglo-
Saxon tribes as history books tell us. No! They were destroyed because of immoral acts. In those times, wife swapping and gluttony was rampant. So too, is the Babylonian empire and the great cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Still, the story did not end with teen-age promiscuity and marital infidelity. Since contraceptives have a high rate of failure, this led to unwanted pregnancies that, in turn,
led to the second stage of the development of Culture of death; the increased incidence of abortion so as not to create undue strains on their earning capacities and ruin their prospects for good quality of life.
This baby-in-the-womb killing spree created a generation of youth that is injured to the dignity and value of life. But the story will not end there. The dependent youth of today are sure to become the parents of tomorrow. And the parents of today are also sure to become dependent elderly when today’s youths become parents. What will happen then? Oh, we see unmistakable glimpses of what will transpire in the coming years. We will see the rampant killing of old people. And many countries are now in the process of legalizing euthanasia deodorized as mercy killing or doctor-assisted suicide.
I hope people will see how Satan works. Very sly. He is very convincing because he uses innocent sounding names. Population control is termed family planning and responsible parenthood. Killing of babies in the womb is called Reproductive Health. And killing of old and infirm people is referred to as euthanasia or mercy killing, as if the victim should be thankful for ending his or her life.
You see how Satan works in his diabolical quest to bring about death and life? Very smooth and very savvy operator. Indeed he is a Marketing Specialist par excellence. And we Asians fell like Adam and Eve because we have fallen prey to Western consumerist and materialistic values.
