Young people urged to take bold stance against anti life policies
|
|
DAVAO CITY, If the youth is the hope of the motherland, then this premise was the reason why the Catholic Campus Ministry of Davao (CCMD) urged the young people of Davao to take a brave stand against anti-life policies.
|
CCMD coordinator Dina Caballero said that with the rising number of youth involved in pre-marital sex, unwanted pregnancies and abortion there is really a need for the young people to fight against anti-life practices.
Caballero recounted that part of their program in CCMD is the strengthening of educational campaign on the value of the sanctity of human body and life.
CCMD is a pastoral agency in the Archdiocese of Davao that takes care of the formation of young people in the non-sectarian schools.
“We are educating the students in the non-sectarian schools on the importance of morality according to the teachings of the Church,” said Caballero.
Caballero added that the youth should know that their human body and their life are God’s gift to them.
“They should give attention on their importance since by doing so it shows how they express their love for God.”
To date, CCMD is creating modules on human life and human body to be distributed to non-sectarian schools.
“With God’s grace, I hope and pray that our effort for the young people will succeed,” ended Caballero.
