AUGUST :
"UNDERSTANDING A PERSON THROUGH HANDWRITING ANALYSIS”
Handwriting analysis is a method of identifying and evaluating a person’s nature and personality traits through the patterns revealed by his/her handwriting. It is a useful tool for teachers, counselors, pastors, lay leaders, parents, and others in understanding the people that they relate and deal with.
The August Forum is a brief training seminar on how to do handwriting analysis.

SEPTEMBER:
“PURSUING PASSION-FILLED PARENTING”
Today’s socio-economic, political, and spiritual conditions are redefining our understanding of what parenting means, which is gravely affecting the family. How do present societal conditions affect our parents’ understanding of their role as parents? Have parents of today become less loving and caring towards their children? Have they relinquished their role as parents to school teachers and caregivers? What, indeed, is a good parent?
The September Forum answers these questions and many more, and provides wisdom for raising children with a pro-life perspective.
OCTOBER:
“CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE CHOICE OF LIFE”
Climate change is one of the most critical global challenges of our time. There are those who argue that human activity, aggravated by overpopulation, is a significant cause. Therefore, they say, if we want to stop or even reverse the trend, we must control population. Otherwise, we are all doomed.
A close analysis of the issue on climate change, however, debunks this argument. Climate change occurs not because there are too many of us on the planet but because too many of us just don’t care. Thus, the solution lies not on negating life but in changing ourselves. Because we are moral beings, we have the capacity to change. Human action changes in ways that fatalists will find surprising. But this is consistent with choosing life … and almost all people choose life.
The October Forum is a discussion on the nature and effects of climate change, and how to meet the challenges of climate change in reference to man’s choice of life.
NOVEMBER:
“POST-ABORTION SYNDROME HEALING AND RECOVERY: THE ‘HOPE ALIVE’ APPROACH”
There are literally thousands of people in the Philippines today, both men and women, who are suffering from the effects of unresolved pregnancy losses, mostly by induced abortion. This may not be readily apparent. Yet, careful clinical observation indicates that these people are deeply wounded by confusing conflicts, intense emotions, personality handicaps, and progressive dehumanization.
The November activity is an interfaith conference that focuses on training participants on post-abortion syndrome counseling, hosted by Pro-Life Philippines with speakers from Hope Alive Canada and Hope Alive Manila.
DECEMBER:
“THE PORNOGRAPHY PLAGUE”
Pornography is tearing apart the very fabric of our society today. Yet, many of us are often ignorant of its impact and apathetic about the need to control this menace.
The December Forum presents the status of pornography in the Philippines and its psycho-social effects especially on today’s youth, and counterpointed by a discussion on a biblical perspective of pornography and human sexuality. The Forum is highlighted with a discussion on how to combat pornography.
