Why fault the innocent unborn for what ails the country? Put the blame on corruption

KUDOS TO EDITORIAL CARTOONIST Jess Abrera for brilliantly portraying what is actually happening in our country today. (Inquirer, 4/21/08)

The weak agricultural program, rice crisis, fertilizer scam, land conversion (into golf courses) are just some of our nation's ills that population control advocates claim to have been caused by population growth.

What a convenient excuse to point a finger at the innocent unborn who cannot even defend themselves. How about blaming corruption, which lay to waste huge sums of money that could have been put to better use in many ways, such as by building roads and classrooms, creating more jobs in the countryside and providing health care?

Let us be realistic and move forward as a nation.
