Heal Our Nation Sunday

25 October 2017

Dear Brothers and sisters in Christ:

Prolife Philippines wishes to invite you and your group on behalf of Archbishop   Socrates B. Villegas, CBCP President, to participate in the celebration of the Holy  Mass on the “Lord Hear our Land Sunday”, November 5 at 3pm at the EDSA  Shrine. The Mass shall be followed by a short candlelight procession to the  People Power Monument at the corner of EDSA and White Plains.

We have been asked by the good Archbishop to help out in the invitation and mobilization of people following his own statement published in several dailies   last 12 and 13 October, 2017. To wit

“We are inviting the men and women in consecrated life, the youth and their teachers, the poor and the rich, the healthy and [the infirm], the laborers and the entrepreneurs, the police and the military, the majority and the minority political  parties—in other words, everybody—to join this observance of the Lord Heal Our  Land Sunday,” Villegas said. “

After the Mass, the image of Our Lady of Fatima  that was brought by devotees to Edsa in the 1986 People Power revolt will be carried on] a candlelight procession to the People Power Monument, a kilometer  from the Edsa Shrine,” Villegas said.

“We believe that our national healing, which only the Lord can grant, will come  to us through the hands of His mother,” he added.

This event is consonant to the CBCP’s call to “End the Killings. Start the Healing” made more than a month ago.

We are encouraging everyone to participate in this collective action of faith to  restore unity, justice and peace in our nation. Let our sentiments as Catholic  Christians be seen and heard throughout the country.

We are hoping to see you there. GOD BLESS.

Sincerely in Christ,

President Pro-life Philippines
