Remembering Sr. Mary Pilar Verzosa, RGS on her 3rd Death Anniversary

02

Sept. 9, 2015, Pro-Life Philippines commemorates the 3rd death anniversary  of our founder, Sr. Pilar Verzosa, RGS.

Three years after Sr. Pilar’s death and we still feel the loss of such a great person.  We still miss her dearly, as no one can ever take her place in our hearts.

Sr. Pilar was loved by many because she sincerely loved life. People did not hesitate in helping her because she bannered the Pro-life advocacy everywhere she went, and did so with the energy of a hundred men. She loved life, and exuded life. She was there to seek women and young girls who were battered and abused; she comforted them, she fed them, gave them shelter and protection. She also taught unceasingly, and took every opportunity to teach, to instruct, and to educate. It was in this condition that the Lord called her from this life; she was giving a talk when death came knocking on her door, a most fitting end to a nun who dedicated her life to making an impact on others’ lives.

Christ not only said “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends,” but died on the cross to prove the eternal truth of his words.Sr. Pilar exemplified laying down one’s life for her friends by committing her life to the pro-life cause. May God bless the Pro-life advocacy and may we pro-lifers continue to be inspired by Sr. Pilar’s example of selflessness and love for life.

We are missing you Sr. Pilar……

  1. Elnora A. Duran says:

A great inspiration to every Pro-life advocate, Sr. Piar Versoza, RGS remains in our hearts forever.
Nobody and no difficulty made her stop her Pro-life activities. She was a ” fool for Christ”, for she never
wavered, was never intimidated, never stopped working for the culture of life.
From up there, Sr. Pilar, I know you continue to inspire, guide and protect all who fight for the cause to protect
Life from conception to its natural death. We love and miss you.n
