Planned Parenthood Abortion Business Closes Center in San Angelo, Texas

by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 8/29/13 1:13 PM

The Planned Parenthood abortion business has closed another one of its abortion clinics in Texas — this time in San Angelo.

Earlier this month, the Planned Parenthood abortion business in Texas closed one of its facilities that was caught on tape years ago expressing a willingness to do an abortion no a 13-year-old girl who claimed to be a victim of statutory rape. Abortion business officials said then that abortion customers would be referred to the facility in San Angelo, but it is now closing itself.

Meanwhile, prolife advocates are celebrating the closure of an abortion center Planned Parenthood ran in Bryan, Texas.

A local media report has more details:

This note was taped on the door of San Angelo’s Planned Parenthood Wednesday, informing patients that the facility is closing Friday — and telling them how they can transfer their records to another provider.

San Angelo’s facility is the second in West Texas to close this month — just weeks after restrictive legislation on abortions in Texas was signed by Governor Rick Perry.

Mary Perez came from Sonora Wednesday to mark the closing of the center with family members. She says she’s been praying for this day.

“I believe in miracles and it’s almost like a miracle, you know?” she said. “But I believe in miracles because I believe in the power of prayer. I do believe God hears us.”

Perez, her husband and her mother prayed the rosary in front of the Planned Parenthood. She said its closure was an answered prayer.

Bishop Michael Pfeifer agrees.

“We’re told whatever we ask for in prayer will be granted and my gosh, could we ask for anything better than to spare the precious unborn?” he said.
