South Carolina Committee Passes Bill to Ban Abortions After an Unborn Baby’s Heartbeat Begins

A South Carolina committee has approved a bill that would protect unborn babies from abortion after they have a detectable heartbeat. The South Carolina House Judiciary Constitutional Laws Subcommittee passed the Heartbeat Bill (H3020) by a vote of 3-2. The bill now advances to the full Judiciary Committee. State House Bill 3020, which already has more than 50 sponsors, was introduced Tuesday and sent to the House Committee on Judiciary, Fox 46 Charlotte reports. It would require abortionists to test for a fetal heartbeat before every abortion and prohibit abortions if a heartbeat is detected. Exceptions would be allowed for…

Almost Two Million People March for Life in Argentina to Stand Against Abortion

An estimated two million pro-lifers rallied Saturday in the streets of Argentina for the annual March for Life. The South American country protects unborn babies from abortion except in very limited circumstances, but abortion activists and politicians are pushing to make abortions legal. EuroNews reports the main pro-life march took place in Buenos Aires under the banner “In Defense of the Two Lives.” Photos and videos show the massive crowd flooding the streets downtown in a sea of blue. Many carried signs and balloons. One group carried a large, paper mache model of a baby in the womb. An estimated…

Women who regret abortion need love and compassion, not hatred

This week I scrolled through comments on social media regarding a story recounting the horrific ordeal of a woman experiencing a botched abortion. The facility’s staff threw her to the street while she was hemorrhaging and begging someone call 911 for help. The comments were callous and inhumane. “She called 911 for help? Amazing how quickly life became important once it was her own.” “At least she was able to call for help before dying unlike her baby who couldn’t.” “Am I supposed to feel bad? Because I don’t.” Their anger is understandable given that an innocent life was lost to…

31 Babies Saved From Abortion During First Week of 40 Days for Life Prayer Campaign

Just 5 days in, we already know of 31 babies saved from abortion through YOUR prayers! On a rainy Memphis day, an abortion-bound couple refused assistance from a trained sidewalk counselor named Tara. But before long, the man exited Planned Parenthood, offering to help shield vigil participants’ materials from the rain. Was he really that concerned about keeping some pro-life brochures dry? Or was he hoping to have his mind changed about abortion? Either way, Tara gladly used the opportunity to tell him all about the support available to help the couple choose life. The man said he would try…

Parents of ‘miracle’ micro-preemie thankful to bring home healthy girl

Pearly Jo (“PJ”) was born at 23 weeks gestation, weighing just 1.1 pounds, and was considered a “micro-preemie,” and is the youngest baby to survive at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in McKinney, Texas. But she proved she was a fighter when she let out “three huge cries” as she was born, according to her mother, shocking everyone in the delivery room. Born on Independence Day 2018, the tiny girl named after her great-grandmother amazingly never got an infection and never had to have surgery, though she did experience a brain bleed, something not uncommon among extremely premature babies. Now she’s…

LAFAYETTE, Louisiana, November 27, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Drag queens are deliberately “grooming” the next generation to accept LGBT ideology when they read to children in public libraries at drag queen “story hour” events, a U.S. drag queen admitted. Brazil elects pro-life president, despite pressure to legalize abortion

On Sunday, Jair Bolsonaro won the presidential election in Brazil. His victory, with 55% of the vote, is significant because he is conservative and, more importantly, pro-life. For the past four presidential elections, Brazil has chosen left-leaning candidates. Bolsonaro represents a marked contrast, and his election has been described as the most dramatic political change since democracy was restored to Brazil more than three decades ago. Under current law, Brazil is a strongly pro-life country. All abortions are banned except in cases of rape, when the mother’s health is at risk, or when a baby’s brain is severely deformed. International…

Nurse Admits “the Purpose for” Prenatal Screening is to Abort Babies With Down Syndrome

In news that shows how prevalent discriminatory attitudes towards babies with Down’s syndrome still are within the medical profession, a mother has spoken out about her horror at being told the point of prenatal screening was to abort babies with the condition. “It was horrible” Leah, a mother of two who did not give the BBC her full name, recently went for a dating scan and asked for the screening so she could be prepared if her baby had the condition, which it did not. She has a sister with Down’s syndrome, and told the midwife that she would not…
