Remembering the Legacy of Sr. Pilar Verzosa, RGS this Pro-Life Month

When you talk about Pro-Life Philippines, or the Pro-Life movement here in the country, there are only two words that come to mind: Sr. Pilar. Sr.Pilar Verzosa, RGS started Pro-Life Philippines back in the late 70s. Ever since, she has saved thousands of women from the clutches of those who would abuse or exploit them. It did’nt matter whether you call or text her in the middle of the day or deep into the night. As long as you need help, she will find ways to help you. She both had…

Remembering Sr. Pilar

Last Monday, September 9, 2013, we remembered  the 1st year anniversary of the death of our founder, Sr. Pilar Verzosa, RGS. Pro-life Philippines opted for a very simple commemoration of  her death, starting with the 6 PM mass at Quiapo Church. In his homily, Monsignor Clemente Ignacio urged not just the pro-lifers but everyone to keep fighting the Culture of Death and the corruption that has plagued our society for so long now. He also stressed the need to keep on doing the unfinished work that Sr….

Honoring the Dead

Remembering-1 copy

This week thousands of Filipinos would be going home to their families in the provinces in order to visit their loveds who have passed away. Yes, we are referring to the millions of babies aborted around the world just because the mother decided it’s going…

Simple Vision, Bigger Mission

By: Sr. Mary Pilar Verzosa, RGS Thirty-seven years is a long time, especially to children. But to us who have so many dreams and plans that we still wish to accomplish, 30 years went by so fast. Many people have asked me how I started the pro-life movement in the Philippines It was the summer of 1974 when I attended a talk by Rev. Fr. Paul Marx, OSB on how abortion got legalized in the United States. He predicted the onslaught of other evils…
